Glossary
A comprehensive dictionary of quantum computing terms and concepts.
Decoherence
The loss of quantum coherence, where a quantum system loses its quantum properties due to interaction with the environment.
ChallengesEntanglement
A quantum phenomenon where two or more qubits become correlated in such a way that the quantum state of each qubit cannot be described independently.
FundamentalsQuantum Gate
A basic quantum circuit operating on a small number of qubits. They are the building blocks of quantum circuits.
OperationsQuantum Supremacy
The point at which a quantum computer can solve a problem that no classical computer can solve in a feasible amount of time.
MilestonesQubit
The basic unit of quantum information. Unlike a classical bit which can only be 0 or 1, a qubit can exist in a superposition of both states.
FundamentalsSuperposition
A quantum mechanical property that allows a qubit to exist in multiple states simultaneously until measured.
